Raise Your Consciousness

Consciousness is an ambiguous area that is fraught with unknown. Quantum physicists, philosophers and neuroscientists have been among the few to understand and explain the mechanics and nature of what is consciousness and how it can best serve us. Other than knowing a few important details and how acting on this information may serve you, I personally enjoy the process of simplification when learning something new. I attempt to take the path of least resistance in formulating an understanding for those things outside of my comfort zone. I will apply the same reasoning and judgment in presenting this piece to you.

Being conscious is far more than being physically awake. It is more than being simply aware. Consciousness is like looking through a lens in order to view reality (life). When you're at a raised consciousness level, you view reality with fresh, clean lenses. Your view is not clouded by past experiences or perceptions. Therefore, your thoughts, beliefs, values and actions become outputs of the level of consciousness you vibrate at. Still with me? Great, read on. When conscious, you begin to develop an awareness of your thoughts, emotions, own existence, sensations and surroundings.

By increasing your consciousness you begin to develop a more accurate view of reality. This allows you to lead a truly rich, vibrant and abundant life full of joy, meaning, happiness and purpose. This serves as the perfect medium to enjoy a life rich in health, well-being and vitality. Healthy life = prosperous life! A person usually vibrates at a certain consciousness, which is said to be his/her default level. There is usually a shift a couple of levels above or below that level depending on the situation. An influence on your consciousness is the stimulus in your life. This will include the situations you are in, the people you spend time with and your environment.

Your consciousness is open to change and whatever you currently vibrate at, is open to change in the future. Spending time with people who vibrate at higher consciousness levels than yours yet close to, has a powerful effect on influencing your consciousness. I won't go into detail defining the levels and discussing them in this article. Just know there are varying levels and how they can influence your view of life.

When you raise you level of consciousness you impact humanity and mankind. Remember, we are all connected at a deeper level. The following is a measure of the impact one or a collective has when consciousness is raised. One individual at level 700 counterbalances 70 million individuals below level 200. One individual at level 600 counterbalances 10 million individuals below level 200. One individual at level 500 counterbalances 750,000 individuals below level 200. One individual at level 400 counterbalances 400,000 individuals below level 200. One individual at level 300 counterbalances 90,000 individuals below level 200. Twelve individuals at level 700 equal one avatar at 1,000. Only 15% of the world's population is above the critical level of 200. That 15% has the weight to counterbalance the negativity of the remaining 85% of the world's people. Were it not for these counterbalances, mankind would self-destruct out of the sheer mass of negativity.

You can see why it is important for yourself and mankind that we undertake personal development on a daily basis. When I hear people say, the world is a crazy place and feel they are powerless to make a change, I remind them of the statistics above. You can make a change NOW.

Start by inviting peaceful thoughts, stop judging and labellings others. When you see an obese person in the street, send them a loving thought rather than labeling them. It's been suggested that your subconscious mind doesn't know the difference between judging that person as obese or labeling yourself. If you feel that you must judge people or situations, use the following thought in your mind until you become better at being mindful of your thought process -"isn't that interesting." Try it next time and notice how you feel. Remember you are contributing to your own health and that of humanity's when you raise your consciousness. Good luck!

Weight Has Always Been A Struggle For Me

Weight has always been a struggle for me. It's the reason I started body building and entered into the fitness industry. To serve and help others with their struggles, as well as help them be the best that they can be. Fitness should not be about trying to look like an airbrushed cover page of Men's/Women's Health Magazine; it should be about a choice you make to live an active and healthy life.

As a child, I can remember, constantly being made fun of about my weight. I would come home and look in the mirror, disgusted with myself. Unfortunately, life had dealt me a slow metabolism; at least that is what I felt. There are skinny kids and heavy ones, and I was just one of the heavy ones. There are Jocks and then there was me. It was not until I made a conscious decision to change, that I started to feel better. Life does not deal you a bad hand. You need to be the dealer and you can choose what you want for your life.

A friend once told me, "A sin is a sin, and to be a glutton, is a sin. No different than being an alcoholic". As a Christian, I never looked at it that way. Why, because I did not want to believe that. America, it is time to get off the couch, turn the TV off and take care of our mind and body. Take a walk, do Crossfit®, powerlift, Olympic Lift, P90X™, dance, run, etc. It is not about your weight or size; it's about physical health and what you are putting in your body. It's about your mental well-being. So maybe you will never be a Champion body builder, or Rich Froning, The Crossfit® games fittest man in the world, 3 years running. You might not be an NFL player, or a model. What you will be is proud of yourself and the steps you are taking to make you better. Not because you have a washboard stomach, or because you've lost weight, but because you made a choice.

Life is a journey, what we need to remember, is there is not a perfect body. We are all perfect as God created us. Strong, beautiful, individuals who just need to be grateful for the gifts we have. The ability to walk, run, dance, Crossfit®, powerlift, etc., because there is always someone with a bigger disposition than you.

I have a customer, and every time he comes into the store, he makes me realize how lucky I am and how ungrateful I am. He is paralyzed in a wheel chair and is probably more active in Crossfit® as well as other training than most people I know or come in contact with. He is amazing!

One of the guys at the office has lost 50 lbs in least than three months, just because he made a conscious decision to go Paleo; again, amazing.

It is not until recently, that I am realizing, whether your hang up is binge eating, depression, low self-esteem, an injury, etc., the only thing stopping you from living a healthy life, is you and the choices you make. So join me. The next time you feel like eating just to eat, STOP! Use it as an opportunity to go do something like take a walk, ride a bike, do push-ups, etc. The next time you want to eat junk and poison your body, grab an apple or a banana. Put down the soda and drink water. If you go to the movies, take a healthy snack, and pass the snack bar. Trust me when I say, your body will thank you, and you will feel better about yourself, both mentally and physically.

I am making my choice, will you join me? https://christiansfitnessfactory.com
